Brooke Edde LMT; Rolf Practitioner; Ki Hara Trainer

Meet Brooke

I was born and raised and currently live in Utah. I love and cherish the deep roots I have here. My passions include:

First, my family: I am number 10 of 13 siblings, each of whom has children and some of whom have grandchildren. I am the eccentric Auntie B, who has an adoring husband and three little doggies.

Second is my community: My husband and I live in a townhome complex in Salt Lake City and serve on our HOA board because I love to create camaraderie with my neighbors. I also served on the board of the American Massage Therapy Association (AMTA) and regularly attended the board of massage therapy meetings to stay involved and up to date on legislation and best practices.

Third, my education: Here is an updated complete list of all the trainings I have attended and certifications I have received. On top of that, I teach and train new therapists through apprenticeships. I teach because "To truly understand something, you must be able to explain it simply." - Albert Einstein, and my lifetime goal is to truly understand how and why somatic therapy is so valuable. I love to read, research, and learn.

I am mostly a homebody, but I also enjoy snowboarding, camping, concerts, road trips, scary movies, and food.

My journey into the manual therapy and bodywork field was not straightforward. When I was a child, I dreamed of becoming a massage therapist. However, my well-intentioned parents advised me to pursue a safer office job. Despite working in various office administrator roles after getting married, I continued to explore the massage therapy world with friends and family. After my divorce in my late 20s, I had to reconsider what I wanted for my life. It was during this time that a dear friend showed me a video that deeply resonated with me...

“What makes you itch? How would you enjoy spending your life? Whatever it is, you have got to do that. Because if you go to school to learn how to do something you don’t like doing just to go on to do something you don’t like doing, is just stupid. If you really do enjoy what you’re doing, no matter what it is, you will eventually become a master of your craft, and that’s the best way to spend your life.”    ~Alan Watts

And the rest is history. I am so grateful that I get to do what I do.  Feel free to contact me with any further questions about what I do and how I can possibly help you in your healing journey.
